Bio
Roark Critchlow is currently helping (or possibly hindering) the human race to survive the alien menace as “FBI Dir. Paul Kendrick” on ABC’s highly rated series V, while using the show’s hiatus to play “Wake”, the rougish lead in Scavengers, a rousing science fiction feature. He has found the time to also play the father of one of the young ladies of ABC Family's new series Pretty Little Liars, and even reprised his role as "Dr. Mike Horton" on Days of Our Lives for a 3-episode visit. Having dual citizenship (USA/Canada) allows Roark to work on both sides of the border.
Roark arrived in Los Angeles from Canada in 1992 and one year later was cast as Dr. Mike Horton on NBC’s Days of Our Lives. After 6 years of playing the sensitive hunk, he chose to move on and pursue roles in film and primetime. From having a dual personality in The Mentalist to playing Starbuck’s tormented father on Battlestar Galactica, Roark delivers compelling and inspired performances on television. Theatrically, Roark has worked with Adam Sandler in Mr. Deeds, Joe Mantegna in HBO’s Comrades of Summer, as well as playing in 5 Sci Fi movies. The younger generation knows Roark as the grumpy “Dr. Glazer” on the Nickleodeon sitcom Drake and Josh and adults recognize him as the romantic lead in Hallmark MOW Panic Button, Mending Fences and Shark Swarm. Adding color to his resume, Roark has played numerous roles as German, Russian and British characters.
An established voiceover artist with seven television and radio ad campaigns to his credit, he is also the voice of the lead character, “Joel Shoemaker”, in 120 episodes of Afterworld, Sony’s critically acclaimed flagship animated internet series.
